Call for EGPRN Committee Elections

Dear members,

We are pleased to invite EGPRN members to submit their candidacy for the upcoming EGPRN Committee Elections by 10 April 2026.

We strongly encourage applications from members across different countries and career stages, reflecting EGPRN’s commitment to diversity, collaboration, and capacity building in primary care research.

Committees and Positions
EGPRN operates through three core committees:

  1. Educational Committee
  2. Research Strategy Committee
  3. Communications and Public Relations Committee

A maximum of eight full members will be elected to each committee.

Application Process
Candidates are invited to submit their self-nomination to

Applications should include:

  1. a brief CV
  2. a short proposal outlining the candidate’s vision and priorities for the committee they are applying to

The total length of the application should not exceed one page.

Eligibility
All EGPRN members at the time of this call are eligible to apply and must maintain full membership status throughout their term.

Professional Background
Candidates should have a background in family medicine and/or primary care research, with demonstrated interest or experience aligned with EGPRN’s mission.

Previous Involvement
Previous involvement in EGPRN activities (e.g. conferences, collaborative projects, working groups, or committees) is considered an asset, but is not mandatory unless otherwise specified in the statutes.

Continuity is essential for the effective functioning of the committees. Members are expected to:

Term limits and re-eligibility
Candidates must comply with the applicable three-year term limits defined by the EGPRN Executive Board. Eligibility for re-election will be assessed in accordance with these regulations till three terms.

Each member may serve on only one committee at a time. If members do not meet the commitment criteria or exceed the term limits, they will be required to leave the committee, and the position will be opened for a new election, following the procedure organised by the Executive Board.

Election Process and Timeline
Elections will be held online among all EGPRN members during the third week of April 2026, with the aim of enabling the newly elected committees to commence their work at the Verona meeting in May 2026.
