Practice Visits

Visits to the following practices are organized for 21 October, Friday. The groups will leave from the conference venue. Space is limited and registration is free and only online through the Conference registration on a first-come first-serve basis.

A. Praktijkhuis Korte Klaren
Korte Klarenstraat 9A 2000 Antwerp

This practice is located on a 5-minutes walking distance of the venue.

This is a multidisciplinary practice with 5 GPs, 2 trainees, 2 nurses, a social worker, a dietician and supporting staff. This practice has a capitation system. The patient population is multicultural. There is support from intercultural mediators. Two of the physicians are working at the university of Antwerp and one is also a sports physician.

B. Antigoon Huisartsen
Klapdorp 22 a 2000 Antwerp

This practice is located on a 5-minutes walking distance of the venue.

This is a multidisciplinary practice with 4 GPs, 2 trainees, 2 nurses, a dietician and supporting staff. This practice is an example of a typical practice in town. They work with a fee for the service system.

C. Wijkpraktijk
Paleisstraat 104 2018 Antwerp

This practice is located on 10 minutes by tram of the venue. You will be accompanied to and back from the practice. You can also walk. It takes half an hour to walk.

This is a multidisciplinary practice with 3 GPs, 2 trainees, 2 nurses, 2 psychologists and supporting staff. This practice is situated in a multicultural neighborhood. They work with a capitation system. One of the physicians is a professor at the university, the second one is also specialized in tropical diseases and the third one is focused on projects around mental health.
