Public Transportation
Tickets can be purchased at the station or in the tram using Gi⁠ro⁠card (EC-Karte/Maestro-Karte), credit card (VISA and MasterCard) or cash. Digital tickets abailable on Apps FAIRTIQ, MOOVME.
Business hours
Most public offices are open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 11:30 am. Shops are open mainly from 10 am to 8 pm. Grocery stores are open mostly from 8 am until 8 pm. Shops are within a max. 10 minute walk from the suggested hotels.
Telephone and internet access
Wireless connection is free at the venue, in all hotels, in many restaurants, cafés and shopping centers. Pre-paid cards for cell phones and wireless internet are available for purchase at small shops, big stores, and phone operators’ stores.
Water supply
The tap water in Halle is perfectly drinkable and tastes good.
Climate
Halle lies in a temperate climate zone. It is common for the temperature to be about 30°C (86°F) in the summer and -5°C (19°F) in the winter. In October medium temperature is 10° C with possible rain.
Language
The official language is German. Hotel staff (and often restaurant staff) can communicate in English.
